Dear Valued Customer,

The Mauritius Turf Authorities decided this week to fundamentally change the rules of horse racing, which will have far reaching consequences. Among the decision taken:
(i) Allowing races to take place with less than the previous minimum of 6 horses for rating 50+;
(ii) Allowing a stable to enter more than the maximum of 2 horses participating for a listed race or rating 60+;
(iii) the new definition of 'foreign jockeys' which results in stables relying heavily on local jockeys,
(iv) the differences of opposing views between the Mauritius turf club and the Gambling Authority aired in public.

The current situation is compounded further given:
(i) the very low population of horses fit for racing (just over 200)
(ii) An uneven distribution of fit horses per stable (ranging from 6 in some stables to 50 in others),
Having considered the whole situation very carefully we have decided to no longer offer and accept bets on Mauritius horse racing for the remaining meetings of the 2015 racing season. As a responsible organisation, we feel that the risk of possible unfair practices has risen significantly and it will be contrary to the licence condition of the UK Gambling Act 2005 under which we are regulated to trade in such conditions.
With immediate effect we will not accept any new deposits but our clients are free to withdraw any balances in their accounts as usual.
We thank our valued Customers for their trust and understanding.
